Furnished Living Space

“The Cabin” is an eco friendly semi off grid tiny house (200 sq ft) apartment. Artists will get their own bedroom/sleeping loft, bathroom, laundry, and kitchenette. The space is intended for single occupancy. Regular meals are not provided so please plan accordingly.

Furnished, W/D combo, 1 studio (loft bedroom)/1bath, small kitchenette with microwave and induction cooktop, (stove is non operable-for storage only), refrigerator, gas fireplace, off-street parking, window unit AC, outdoor living, eco friendly above commode grey-water recycling system, supplemental solar powered lighting, clawfoot tub.

Eco friendly features 

Toilet has a sink above tank to recycle grey water. Small space is efficient use of utilities. Many of the materials to finish this space were reused, recycled or repurposed. Perfect for someone who appreciates living with character and creativity. Very unique space. 

Room is currently furnished with full size bed, storage in bench, closet rod for storage, books and art.

Yard

The yard reflects an eclectic blend of contemporary DIY with western vernacular and features a functioning outdoor shower that drains into the garden (only available in summer and should use soap compatible with garden). The xeriscaped/hardscape base is eco friendly with regional rock and some native plants for the water wise high desert plains of the Colorado Front Range. Outdoor living and working areas coexist among a thoughtful collection of curated outdoor art. The yard is fenced and semi private to create the feeling of a creative retreat.

Neighborhood, city and region.

Berkeley Regis Neighborhood is in Northwest Denver and has a high walkability score, with coffee/breakfast, pizza and a brewery on the next block as well as Tennyson nearby. A grocery store is a 15 minute walk or a few minutes drive from the property. We are 10 minutes from downtown Denver, 20 minutes to Red Rocks Amphitheater, 35 minutes to Boulder, and 1.5 hours from Rocky Mountain National Park. Denver is a mid sized American city with a vibrant yet small and tight-knit art community. We have world class museums, such as the Denver Art Museum, MCA Denver, Clyfford Still Museum, and the Vance Kirkland Museum, as well as quality commercial galleries and a vibrant DIY art scene.
